Nainital: Corona Test Will Have To Be Done If You Are Seen Roaming Without A Mask, If Found Infected, There Will Be 14 Days Quarantine

If you are coming to Nainital to roam, then follow the Corona guideline. It should not happen that due to fun, one has to be quarantined for 14 days. This is because in view of the crowd of tourists, the district administration is going to be more strict from this time.

If local people or tourists are found roaming in the city without masks, then they will be compulsorily conducted RTPCR and antigen test. If found infected, they will be quarantined for 14 days.

After the second wave of Korana lightened and the government relaxed the Corona curfew, the number of tourists is increasing over the weekend in nearby tourist places including Nainital. Seeing the violation of the Corona guidelines, the district administration had made strict rules for the entry of tourists last week.

These included booking of hotels with parking done in advance with the requirement of registration in Smart City Portal and negative Kovid report for coming to Nainital. The district administration had also completely banned the entry of tourists into the city on two-wheelers.

This initiative of the district administration paid off last week. After the presence of thousands of tourists in the city, neither there was any jam nor vehicles were seen crawling on the roads.

In a random investigation on Thursday, two tourists from Palwal Haryana were found corona infected. In view of this, the administration has now decided to take some strict action from this weekend to protect against Corona, keeping these rules in force every weekend. This strictness will remain in force on the occasion of Eid also.

DM Dhiraj Singh Garbyal said that on weekends, the vehicles of tourists coming from outside will be parked in the temporary parkings located at Russi and Narayan Nagar. From there, tourists will reach Nainital by shuttle service.

He said that scooters and bikes of tourists coming to Nainital by two wheelers would also be parked in temporary parking spaces. The entry of two wheelers into the city will be strictly prohibited during the weekend.

Despite repeated requests and fines, many tourists and local people are not serious about masks and social distance, so it has been decided to conduct a corona test. For this, three teams of health department will be deployed on Mall Road for investigation.
